Boeing P-12E U.S. Army Air Corps fighter 1932. The yellow paint was intended to make a downed plane in peacetime easier to locate. This lasted from about 1927 to 1937. The Navy only painted the upper surfaces of the wing in case a plane went down in the sea. This lasted until 1941. this is the 1/32 scale Hasegawa kit.
