Description
U.S. Marine Corps LVT(A)4 - Landing Vehicle, Tracked - from the Pacific campaigns in WW2. This version had a 75mm howitzer to give fire support as troops landed on a beach in an amphibious assault. The vehicle floated and each link of the tracks had little scoops so it "swam" to the beach, the climbed up onto land and participated in the assault. This is a 1/35th scale model, the kit of which dates back to the 1950s. Brush painted.
