Backstory:
Ume is known for coming from a home of acceptance and tolerance. Although her family may be small, consisting of only her grandmother and her two little adopted brothers, it's still homely and her small family shows to be supportive. She's half Japanese and half Brazilian, sprouting from her father which was Japanese and her mother which was Brazilian, when her father came across her mother in Brazil on an expedition, the two of them falling in "love", but seemingly only marrying out of wedlock, ending in an unsuccessful matrimony that only bore the two of them and was harmful to their toddler. It's then that the two of them promised to start life over and avoid each other, to which Ume and her father returned back to Japan knowing that her mother wouldn't be heartbroken by the revelation. It wasn't long after that her father fell ill while the two of them lived with his mother, and when Ume's only parent fell to a fated death, it was just her and her grandmother, Shiori Tachibana. It wouldn't be until a few years later that Ume would be met with two young boys from the nearby orphanage, her grandmother having adopted them out of both pity and love for the two twins, Daiki and Haruki. Although it took her a long time to get accustomed to the two of them, they got into the spring of things and soon found themselves working together just as real siblings would. It's come to Senior year, and Ume's in her last year of highschool at Akademi High, and she seems confident that she can get into a college to support her elderly grandmother and her two little brothers.
