Description
The streets of Agrabah are where the orphan Aladdin grew up, with the winds from the East and the Sun from the West beat down upon the hot desert sands. Having to fend for himself from a young age by any means possible, Aladdin was forced to turn to pick pocketing and thievery in order to live. Soon the streets and alleys became his playground and he became very skilled in the art of sleight of hand and his natural athletic abilities meant he was able to slip in and out of virtually any premises. One day, when Aladdin was in his early teens, he stole aboard a merchant ship moored in the harbour. As Aladdin was sifting through the cargo of silks, spices and fruits looking for something to eat, when he was halted by a boy, of about the same age, with his sword drawn. It was Prince Eric of the distant Maritime Kingdom, and this was one of the Royal Merchant ships. The Prince lowered his sword and threw Aladdin an apple and told him to eat, as he appeared to be hungry. Aladdin took the apple cautiously, expecting a trick but Eric just watched as he ate and said he was impressed with how Aladdin had slipped around the ship’s crew unnoticed and his skill and agility opening locks and climbing through portholes. Talents like those should be put to go use. Maybe he would consider joining the crew as they are in need of a new cabin boy? Aladdin took the offer and for a time sailed the seas as a cabin boy for Maritime’s Royal Merchants, where he remained friends with the Prince.
Aladdin was for a time happy as cabin boy, but old habits proved to die hard, and one day Aladdin was eventually caught stealing coins from the pocket of one of the crew and so was sent back to Agrabah and handed over to the Agrabahn authorities, however he escaped and went back to living the life of a street rat, sleeping in a rundown attic with a view of the Sultan’s Palace, where he would fall asleep and dream of sneaking in and stealing from the royal treasury.
Sometime later, now a young man, Aladdin met a beautiful girl in the market place who was on the run from the Royal Sultan’s Guard. She turned out to be the Princess Jasmine, who had escaped the palace after her Father, the Sultan, was forcing her to marry the evil Vizier Jafar, who was a magician who had her in his thrall. She was in search of the mysterious Cave of Wonders in order to find a way to be free forever. Aladdin agreed to help her on the premise that he would be rewarded with gold and jewels from the Palace. They searched for and eventually found the cave and in it a lamp containing a genie that would grant three wishes. Using two of the wishes they defeated Jafar by trapping him within the confines of the lamp, reclaiming the Palace from his thrall and freeing the Sultan. Jasmine expected Aladdin to leave her after claiming his reward, but he had learned that there was a jewel more valuable than any ruby or diamond, the jewel of Agrabah, the Princess Jasmine. Aladdin had fallen for the beautiful Princess and she had fallen for him too. The Sultan granted Jasmine her freedom to marry whomever she chooses and together they moved into a small palace of their own in an oasis on the outskirts of the desert surrounding the city, soon after, Jasmine and Aladdin were wed. The final wish was used to free the Genie from the millennia of imprisonment and servitude inside the lamp.
One scorching hot day, when the sun was high in the sky a visitor arrived at the Palace. It was the Prince Eric, seeking the help from Aladdin, who greeted his old friend warmly and introduced him to his wife Jasmine. Aladdin had never forgotten the kindness shown by the Prince and was ashamed of his past actions after everything the Prince had done for him and said he would help the Prince any way he could and asked what was troubling him? Eric told Aladdin and Jasmine about the Blue Fairy Diamond, Yensid the Sorcerer’s warning of a dark presence gathering in his land and the attack by Captain Hook when the diamond was stolen. Aladdin’s skills would be a valuable asset at reclaiming the diamond from the wicked Pirate Captain, Yensid was counting on him. Aladdin and Jasmine listened intently and agreed to help, for any danger challenging Eric’s land would be sure to spread. Aladdin and Jasmine armed themselves with their scimitars and dagger’s and Aladdin fetched the wedding gift the Sultan had given them, a flying carpet, a priceless mode of transportation.
Together they headed back to Eric’s Kingdom to regroup and form a plan. However upon arriving home, it was Eric that now had a visitor. A beautiful mute red headed woman.
