Practice #5 didn't have a lot to it, but I was curious in trying out an eye, then a set of eyes, then a body for those eyes, then a hand for just review. The first eye I don't think looks horrible, but I think with enough tries it'd be sort of easy to draw a single decent-looking eye with no account for angle or mapping it onto a face, etc. Hence the second sketch, which isn't the worst, but something I'm not very proud of. Probably my worst skill is drawing faces; something I'm going to need excruciating practice with. The nose that I drew is overly basic because any attempt of trying to add detail to it only made it look worse so I scrapped it. I might make a gauntlet out of that sooner than later. By doing that I think it will force me to improve on a few fundamentals: Head shape, eyes, nose, and mouth. Naturally, I don't have a lot of skill with any of these. I suppose I'll just keep throwing myself at it.

The final hand review wasn't completely bad I'd say. No reference image was really used for any of these. Maybe some progress was made this time because I tried to be a little more conscious of thick vs thin lines, but ultimately I don't really think that shows very much, as I ended up going over anything that did have varying thickness and lost a lot of my tapered lines. Maybe tomorrow will have a better yield. Thanks for checking my progress out!
