The Thing is one of the hardest characters for me to get a handle on. For me, he's very tough to draw. It seems there is a very fine line between making him look cool and making him look like garbage. I love the FF and I really would love to do something with them some day, but Benji here scares me. Here's an attempt to find "my" Ben Grimm. What do you think?Related content

I think you've done a pretty good job here but if you want my advice and I know you didn't ask for it, but I like to draw the Thing as if he's an armor-plated dinosaur rather than a mass of rocks glued together! Does that help?
