Description
This is a character from Quest for the Stone, his name is Dan and he's a troll. I used human bases for Eli and Roland, but I had to make this one from scratch and so it took a few days with me working 3+ hours each day on it.

Most of my friends back in elementary school thought this character was the best. There were a few who liked Eli, but Dan was mostly the favourite. We would often name this character "Stoner Troll". He wasn't even going to be one of the main characters in the comic until my friends pleaded for him to join the crew. I obviously didn't object.

Usually I try not to make too many of the characters "join the crew" in adventure stories such as this because then the real story and quest is lost within a sea of different ideals, but this character made sense to me. Eli and Roland, being almost polar opposites, would tend to argue or make immature decisions. Dan is wise and can always come up with a compromise for them, and settle everything without strife. Of course, there will always be tension and/or conflict throughout the story that cannot be solved by simply making a compromise, but he is great help with leading Eli and Roland in the right direction.
