Through the pass of time, Conall trained not just his pokemon, but also himself. Under the strict diligence of Lt. Surge he grew disciplined and with the proper foundation for the training he would sustain under the watchful eye and rigorous battle experience of E4 Bruno. The sweat and blood paid off as he learned and grew stronger, later on using this knowledge to his pkmn training and battle. He faced some opponents and a few gym leaders in pokemon and in-ring battle building up for a good career as professional wrestler in the Battle Royale Dome for the APW.

By the time the "Rift" incident happened and Arceus sent him back in time to Hisui, he was challenged by Commander Kamado to prove his mettle, thinking Conall was all size and no technique...he didn't know he had bargained for more that he could handle until he was pinned to the ground of his office and down for the count.
