this is quite gorgeous. it makes me all shivery. have you ever heard of Black Orchid? i read that bookwhen i was only a little thing but i remember Dave McKean's artwork in that doing the same crazy thing to me.

Hello mcjesus.
Remember when you asked me where to go for a semester?
Don't go to Chelsea, since i've been here I've heard bad things.
I'm going to apply to Byam Shaw at Central St. Martin's. It's a small school with the benefits of being part of the University of the Arts London thing. Central St. Martin's itself is the most popular one. A girl I spoke to there said the people aren't that lovely. But I don't know that.
If you can, try to get in Byam Shaw for a semester, though. They have marvellous stuff, etching room, lithography stuff, the work studiois are also great. But I don't know if they do the visiting student thing.
I'll let you know about the Slade. I'm going for an open day there on Tuesday. All I can say is that it's a nice area, and a pretty prestigious school with lots of history. Not part of UAL though, but its still great.
Anyway.
This work is lovely. Distinctly you, but different. It seems you're loosening up. It's getting braver, more self-assured. What's your process of making like? Do you have it all in your head before and then project it on to canvas? Or, is it more a natural progression on canvas.
