Description “Now my joys are few, and my pains are many. In
utter agony, I pass my life.”
- Sir Guru Granth Sahib

I was feeling a bit down the day I did this piece.
I could not think straight.
I wondered why am I feeling like this.
I wanted to feel happy again.
I could not feel that warmth.
I only held onto the numbing pain of agony.

In this piece, I accentuate the feeling of agony
through the face of a statue expressing the
effects of agony, whether it be hurting them
phsyically or mentally. The red color overlay
signifies the passion in agony’s pain. The look
of an old man is noted more by the ragged
surface of the rest of the piece.

Also note that I added more depth into design
by creating lighting effects on the top left
side, where light seems to fit best. The shining
light somewhat blinds the old man and also
adds to the meaning of agony.
