Absolutely awesome mate. The way you've done the elf's pose and body make her look lithe and full of movement (though, to he honest, her offside arm looks a little odd... I suspect it's something to do with the relationship between 'how the cape is billowing out and where her shoulder is positioned beneath it out of sight). Actually, there's a great dynamism to the whole piece, from the girl, to the birds, to the monster in the distance... the sense of scale on that last is fantastic by the way. I don't think the scale quite hits you until you start to see it in relation to the birds, how it sits relative to the horizon and the details fading out.
I could wax lyrical about the lighting and use of colour as well.
Definitely one of your best.

I see the issue with the arm now as well thanks! I think the scale is an issue on it's own as well, it really should hit right away, to that end I think it could've been better. It makes me think of the monster from the Tremors movie!! it doesn't look like this, but for some reason makes me think if it.

There's actually so much stuff I need to find time to watch haha, so I can now throw this onto the pile. I've got some anime I need to finish up and a new Blair Witch movie is coming out so it sorta makes me want to go back to watch the original one from the 90s. I remember being freaked out by that when I was a kid. Google is telling me it wasn't a very good film, guess I have rose colored glasses on.

Check out the anime called "Re Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu"... it's really good and has what is called BEST GIRL....

BEST GIRL....that sounds really promising :L, i should make myself watch at least one anime per season or something. I'm finally wrapping up Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, after that I'll probably give Re Zero a go, the sisters are pretty cute. Somebody recommended Anne Happy to me recently so I'll probably watch that.
Sakurasou turned out to be pretty depressing. Watching people fail in spite of their efforts bums me out, it's a valuable life lesson I guess.

I tried Sakurasou when it was airing but ended up dropping it.. forget the reason for dropping it feels like so long ago.
With Re Zero, give it at least 3 episodes before deciding if oyu like it or now, it does start slow... but once it gets going after a while it really leaves you at the end of the episode going wtf happens next!? wtf... wtf... haha

It's fairly old, it aired like 3 years ago haha, so it's not a surprise it feels like it's been a long time I think I'm at a stage where I skipped so many years I don't even have to keep up with the newest season anymore. I used to be glued to those anime blogs (This was before charts were a thing) to find out what was being released. Now it doesn't even matter because there's probably already more than enough good stuff for me to just pick up and watch.
I can see why you'd drop the series, especially if you've watched a lot of slice of life, it's not particularly groundbreaking. The characters and setting were a bit weak. They were either too talented or they were far too passionate and committed (for highschool students) for me to relate with and the scenarios were too odd for me to click with and the male MC was too annoying. That is to say if I wanted to laugh and cry with a bunch of art students set in a world I can relate to, I'd probably just take 2 days off work and rewatch Honey and Clover.
I think I just stopped watching very much anime at one point because (for some reason) I decided the golden age was over. ARIA, Honey and Clover, MariMite, Kimi ni Todoke are pretty hard to top if you're into that kind of stuff.
Anyways I'll watch Re Zero to see how it is, it seems pretty popular right now so it's probably a safe bet.
