this is seriously one of my favorite pairings .. and of course spike and rarity..i love how they came out.. i drew them in human and in a new style i just decided to do... ive been wanting to draw them since forever
so yeah ive been thinking about watching doctor who so i can understand the character better.. so uh is it a good show? i just wanna know
does derpy look derpy enough?
oh and derpy eants to trade whooves mail for a muffin .. hmmm muffins 8D .. yeah ok .. ima go to bed now XD

I just started watching Doctor Who, just for the same reason, so I thought you'd want an answer that's not too biased.
Well, if you like Sci-fi, it's definitely the way to go. It starts off with a bang - an awfully weird bang, for sure - and doesn't let up. And it's a great show. But, you don't see the character Doctor Whooves is based off of for a while, apparently not for a few seasons, so don't be surprised when that comes up. The first Doctor is still pretty awesome though.
And they've all got British accents, so that's gotta count for something.
And I'm also terrible at reviewing, so I hope this didn't ruin it for you. XD

I love it, and I'm not that big a fan of Sci-Fi. I mean I'm all good with Star Wars and Star Trek, but besides that I'm not a biggie on sci-fi. It's REALLY good, I would give it a watch.

We all love our own particular favorite pairings. No pairing is canon (though some have hints).
I think the Doctor/Derpy thing started with them being together on the bridge in an episode. And admit it, canon pairings have been forged from less.
So enjoy what you want to enjoy. If you don't like it, leave it alone, and let others have their harmless fun.

I ignored it at first, thinking "this will never catch on, people aren't that silly." Next thing you know, this has become one of the most popular couples in the series, solely because his last name is Whooves and her last name is Hooves, therefor they must be married. I'm not kidding, either, there is literally no other reason for them to be a shipping, so naturally the fanbase has taken this to extremes and made tons of fanart showing two fan-named, background characters who are never actually seen together and, even amongst the unofficial, also fan-made backgrounds, have nothing in common.

It's not their names, it's their behavior. The Doc is smart, but Derpy on the other hoof seems silly and derp-eyed. It's opposites attract, almost like most ppl ship Pinkie and Twilight. Whooves and Derpy might be just as affected to each other.
