Jalin was in hell. What could've been the best day in his life turned into a neverending nightmare.

He had a crush on Cassandra for so many years and finally had gotten the courage to ask her out. And she said yes!

Jalin was so excited that he turned up at her house way too early. Cassandra's sister Dakota opened the door. She had always disliked him and never even tried to conceal it. She looked at him with her usual disgusted glance and let him in.

But Jalin didn't care. He was way too excited for the date and sat down quietly in the living room waiting for Cassandra to get ready.

That's when Dakota offered him a drink. He thought this might be a peace offering, but after just a few sips he started to feel strange. The last thing he saw was Dakota's smile before he passed out.

When he regained his senses he saw Cassandra standing above him, but she didn't seem to notice him.

Her sister told her that he ran off like a coward and that Cassandra should be glad, because she deserved more than a subhuman like Jalin.

Cassandra objected, but her sister dismissed her response by simply saying:
"You're right, he isn't even subhuman anymore, haha. Can you fetch me my sandals? I want to go out tonight and meet some real men."

Then came the last time Cassandra would ever touch him. She angrily picked him up with ease and threw him at Dakota. What was happening?

Dakota gave Jalin one last knowing look before theatrically putting him on her feet.

It was the last time she ever acknowleged his existence. From that day on he was just a shoe and no one ever treated or even looked at him like he was anything else.

Instead of going out with this beautiful woman, his life was reduced to suffer beneath the soles of her cruel sister...
