Description In traditional Arabic lore, the Ghūl or Ghoul is an evil, desert-dwelling djinn that consumes corpses, children, and human blood. They are capable of assuming the appearance of those that they eat, as well as that of various animals.

The being depicted here is a breed/subspecies of Vampire that's functionally immune to sunlight and capable of strong illusions, such as hiding his real face behind the guise of a normal human's (although the eyes glow slightly in low light). His normal face is greyish with reflecting eyes and streaks of silver in the hair. When enraged or feeding, the game face becomes more demonic, with cracking skin, exposed muscle (the jaws in particular), visible fangs, and a greater loss of hair color and skin tone.

I imagined that this sort of Ghoul is just one of several (possible five or seven) different strains/bloodlines of Vampire that have existed since Prehistory and have formed their own secret nations.
