This is a very wonderful piece. It's interesting because in Middle Eastern/Islamic cultures, it is the face that defines modesty. For example, if a man suddenly came across a woman in, let's say, her bath. If her face covered, but she was otherwise naked, she would not feel as if she had been "exposed" nearly as much as if her face hadn't been covered. Why? Because all he saw was a body, which could belong to anyone. It is her face that reveals who she is and therefore is where the "exposure" and "nakedness" comes from. This is also why there is an emphisis in those cultures for women to keep their faces veiled. This may at first seem like a backwards concept of modesty, but when you think about it, it really isn't. I think it is our Western cultures that have it backwards.
