Just another silly idea i had floating around. I have nothing against Obi-wan, (except for killing Grievous) so don't get angry at me.Obi, GG (c) G. Lucas

It would have been cool if they'd shown this backstory stuff on Grevious in the movies. Greivous was known about since the first Starwars movie right?

Yes...I didn't like that they put him in as a simple throw away villain...
And Grievous was only known of in the time before and during Ep 3. His big debut to the Galaxy was at the Battle of Planet Hypori, where he took on Five Jedi knights at once and was owning them. It's all shown in Chapter 20 and 21 of Clone Wars the cartoon.

Grievous did not appear in any books until after episode two, when ideas for him were just starting to come together

He was primarily made for the movies, but I guess they had to allow some info on him leak out so he got some mentions in books. I believe in one of thesse books, Grievous duels a young Boba Fett...

Boba Fett is that BOunty Hunter with the green armor and the T-shaped visor. The one who's malfunctioned jet packsent him into the Sarlaac pit in Ep6 Return of the Jedi.

Yep. Grievous indeed met up with a young Boba Fett and beat the snot out of him in a duel then took him under his wing for a bit. At least that's what I heard.

Yea actually. I can never be sure what order the old movies go in right. Could you list the names of the movies from start to end? Im speaking of all the movies except episode 1,2, and 3. Is the last movie the one where Palpetine dies?

Ep 4: A New Hope, Ep 5: the Empire Strikes Back, Ep 6: Return of the Jedi. And yes, Palpatine dies in Ep 6.

awesome art. (and the same goes for the rest of your gallery.) but what is it that redeems grievous so much? all i can tell is that he's a wheezing mechanized cyborg-thing with a huge fan base. care to clear it up?

Well, I can't say for sure what every fan of his sees in him, but I'll tell why I like him. The first thing that attracted me to Grievous was his design, I've never before seen anything like it before and I thought it was really neat. I have an affinity for robots so that was a big plus.
The second thing is who he was and what he did. He killed Jedi, sometimes multiple Jedi at once, without Force powers and with the Jedi's own weapons. He also has the quirky habit of collecting trophies from his fallen opponents. Also, in my opinion, he has a pretty cool backstory.
Lastly, he has the badguy appeal that alot of people enjoy. This also makes it a lot of fun to mess with him in comics and such.
Hope this helped....I probably didn't hit every point but those are the major ones...
