Well I finally got it so I am happy with it. My fingers keep curling up of their own accord now...Happy late mother's day.

My only niggle with this pic--awesome as I think it is--is that his left arm seems a tiny bit too long, and like somebody else said, it seems to be attached to his 'thigh'.

I rarely favorite DD's, but this one is just too wonderful to pass up. It's got a great retro feel with a splash of romantacism. Robots are delicate creatures, aren't they?

I like the pose you have him in...especially since you can't really read his face, the body language is very important to convey what he feels. The slouchiness for some reason suggests adolescence. And to me, he seems kind of shy...typical of a teenage boy!
I do agree with the two critiques about the background and the left arm--but I think you've got a great drawing!

The left arm seems almost attached to the robot's backside -- shading there could probably be sharper and I would remove the lip which sort of implies a connection (do you know what I mean)?
Either way, this is pretty damn cool. Good job with DD, too.

Absolutely adorable, but the background is a bit bright, or maybe its just the yellow outlines of the little guy that kinda..blend and take the focus off of him. And the flower is a bit light. But thats just my terrible eyesight giving critique. I love this, it's just so fucking cute!! Great job. And congrats on the DD!!

Very cool. The only critique that I can offer is that his right hand (the one with the rose) looks a bit short. But other than that, it looks quite awesome.

well I really like the fact that you kept some of the lines outside the figure. And the colouring/shadeing looks very nice! Really getting that metal feeling here n_n The yellow background gives it a nice warm feel and makes the nice picture complete n_n
As always, nice to see more sci-fi art getting DD'd

There are people standing behind me. I'll quote them: "Ah" and "Oh".
Left arm seems a bit akward there. Forearm seems long, but that's perhaps because the hand is just outside the picture. Positioning of the arm next to the body might also have something to do with it.
To me it's a detail and I only noticed it, because I scrutinized the work (since you WANT critique).
The eye is directly drawn to the centre of the picture, the flower and the head of the robotboy. And they are wonderfully done.
The idea is (as mentioned by others) very nice. Keep up the good work.

So simple and yet so touching..you're drawing on the best works of asimov and the themes he inspired.. can robots love or even think for themselves.. what if a robot servant were to fall in love with its master.. would it be true or just programming? Well exectued.

Thanks. I'd also say Bradbury would be an influence because although he didn't do much on robots, he did a lot with emotion and I think emotion can be a medium in itself.
