Yazaan is a hivea from the jungle planet Zoliv, as well as the surgeon aboard the multipurpose space vessel the S.S. Shirley. When he’s not doing his job of caring for his crewmates or patching up Livae after another explosive experiment, he often spends his time being grouchy and verbally questioning why he ever joined such a rambunctious crew. He often ends with the conclusion that nowhere else is he more sorely needed.
Despite his temperament, Yazaan is actually quite compassionate, and has a strong disliking towards violence, as many hivea do. He often disapproves of his captain’s rash decisions and thirst for excitement (which tends to take the form of getting into a fight, whether voluntary or not).
