Tension emerges after the graduation ceremony.
This corresponds with chapter five of “Metamorphosis,” meaning that I now have made one drawing for each chapter. Finally. I will probably draw something for the epilogue when I have time, since it can just be a regular drawing of Dr. Krankcase, which should be fun.
Here, Dr. Krankcase and Mags are about to have another argument. How many times does that happen in this story? I’ve lost count.

I really had to force myself to make this piece. My original plan was to draw Dr. Krankcase giving his speech at the ceremony, but that would have allowed myself to cut a lot more corners and I wanted to have something more relevant. It was my intention to have this done weeks ago, but I am nothing if not unable to finish a project all at once.
I decided to change Mags’ hairstyle here because I wanted to indicate that she, to some extent, keeps up with what is fashionable for the times. Although, her dress would not be in fashion, I just did not want to have to figure out how to draw her legs after dealing with the wheelchair, so, poofy gown it is. Who’s to say she doesn’t just love dressing goth?
To make things perfectly clear, Mags, Dr. Krankcase and Bruce are all wearing gold because they graduated with honors. Indrel and Lakjin are wearing purple, which is the typical color of the cap and gown at their school.
