Not 100% accurate in colors, proportions, sprite style (LG/FR shading but B/W animation LOL) etc etc BUT- I had a lot of fun making this and i think it's adorable LOL. You see, if I had real ambition I would animate an entire battle, affects and all, but I dream... I dream....reblog on tumblr:

woah, really amazing job on the perspective and animation. i love the way the background curves upward instead of just being a hard 90 degree angle (like I might have done

I just watched the very first episode of Pokemon recently, and seeing this same same scene that it opened with, played out in such a cool new way here, just felt really sentimental and amazing, somehow.
