“...I’m a Wonderbolts Reservist an’ have medals an’ all from helping save Equestria, I really do not feel like a ‘Ditzy’ just because I have a problem with straight lines. And ‘Muffins’ is just... weird. Like, it’s a nice snack and all? Mrs. and Mr. Cake are always happy to see me coming, but it’s not an identity. I’m not a cook or a baker or anything, I work at the Post Office and some delivery companies 'cuz I can fly with huge piles of heavy stuff. I guess ‘Bubbles’, maybe, that’s my cutie mark on account of the flying with heavy stuff thing, but there are already two other Bubbleses in Ponyville, the yellow one with the tail bow and the one with the big head who sounds like Princess Twilight for some reason? The Whitetails call me ‘Bright Eyes See Every Direction’ whenever I go to their village in the woods, that’s pretty neat and they treat me nice ‘cuz they say I have ‘the wisdom of always finding the path of joy’ or whatever, but it’s kinda clunky. Anyway you can just call me Derpy ‘cuz my friends call me Derpy an’ I wanna be friends! Hey-- wanna go check out Sugarcube Corner?”

I always thought both names would fit her rather well. I think it rolls off the tongue, Derpy Ditzy Doo.

EDIT: personal sad moment was when the Secret Author of the Daring Doo books turned out to be A.K. Yearling and not Ditzy Doo. That had been my headcanon for quite a while...
