Ferretwhisker x Pitchfur litter!!Deadline: april 27th 2014
Guidelines:
1. You can either pick one of these designs made by Lithestep and I or make your own.
2. Fill out a tbt sheet with the character bio (ref, name, personnality, likes, dislikes etc...)
3. Lithe and I will pick the 2 best kits according to their bio once the deadline is over.
4. there will be a total of 3 kits (2 are available, as Lithy is keeping #4)
5. You can make changes to the designs and pick your own name. The ones I put are just random.
6. Only members of tbt may adopt a kit.

Personality Traitshey guys! so, you know how when you make a ref sheet you have to list around five personality traits for your character? i was thinking it would be helpful if there was one big list that everyone could look at for traits. so comment here and i'll make a list : D i'll add a couple of my own. Would be helpful if i alphabetized it or not?

I understand....it's just that I was in this group a matter of days ago. I've been a member since last June...and I've been waiting to tryout for a Finch kit. I thought I had too much on my plate, and so I left TBT. But I've missed roleplaying there. I just feel like it isn't fair that I was a member not even 2 weeks ago, and now I canno't try-out for a kit. Is there anyway you could make an exception?

I understand that. I know it is difficult knowing that this rule is in the way of you being able to tryout for something that you have wanted for a while now. However, I will not make any exceptions to the rules, because once one person asks of me to make an exception of a rule, I have no doubt that other people will want me to grant the same for them and others. Once you leave a group, you leave a group and there is no going around that. You still have a chance of rejoining, but I don't feel comfortable changing a rule so suddenly, just because a few people are not liking that rule. We have the rule for plenty of reasons. I don't mean to sound plain like that, however, I must abide to the rules that have been set for the group and for myself.

Perhaps that would work if you were to tryout again as a member with a different character, it would then grant you access to trying out for the kits. I know it hurts, and I know how that is like. I just don't want to be that kind of leader that just lets things slide that then ends up in utter mess, if you catch my drift

I actually have decided.. I have decided that I will not be removing the rule, seeing that if I do remove or make an exception towards that rule, we will get more people asking to make exceptions to other rules. I believe Kraft had set that rule down so that no weird people are going into the group that the clan leaders would not personally want to be in their clan.

Ah, well, if that is your decision, though I believe your thinking is a bit incomplete.
For one, if it is a rule that you can allow those outside the group, then, it is a rule not an exception. Even if people do start asking for exceptions or changes to other things, if you have a firm reason why (to get new members into the group on off times, to keep fresh people coming in and keeping the group from growing stale, ect) then you'd be fine. 'Why's' and 'Why Not's' matter more than what is being asked. Besides, people will always ask for exceptions. As long as you don't say 'we're adding an exception to this rule' but come at it as 'we have thought how this will effect our group and considered all the options. These change in rules will benefit the group in X, X, X way.' Then it's a rule change, not an exception like I said. Tricky wording to be sure, but an exception is something overruling a particular rule for one or a few privileged people. A rule change is a rule change. Just thought I'd say that.
I, of course, am respecting your decision. Yet, I felt it's as good a place as any to raise my voice, regardless if anything changes or not.
And, remember, you can set the rule to be try-outs for the kits. Most parents to this anyway. Get them accepted by the parents and then by the leader of the clan. Like you would any other app. That way, you do screen the good from the bad.
Putting it out there, CotN recently added it to their rules list, even after being firmly against it for some time. No fall out as occurred from it. Rules change as the mores and public culture change. Not trying to sway you, but I ask that you keep it in mind.
Just a little something from the peanut gallery. You will do what you will do. I just felt your comment was a little one sided and closed off from possibilities you may or may not have thought of.
