I am what I am because when things do go wrong my parents think I'm so ungreatful. If I get a bad grade they don't think that it's because the class is hard they think it's because I don't care or I'm not trying hard enough. So if I upset them they take everything that they've ever done for me and hold it above my head like "we pay for everything for you" "you don't even work" etc. That is the absolutely worst feeling in the world because it's such a misconception and so I try even harder to please because that's it, that's the basis for EVERYTHING I do, trying to please people; make my parents proud of me. So when I fail or know I'm going to fail it takes everything I've got not to fall apart and hyperventilate in school because I know that feeling of incompatence and someone being disappointed in you is coming.
