Felt like sharing this since it's Earth Day. I mean, honestly, any day can be Earth Day, it's not like you're celebrating the existence of another planet.
Anyway, this is something I made for my Eco Arts class last November. I wanted to represent the ever-looming issue of pollution & its harmful effects on the environment. These poor innocent creatures of the sea did nothing to wrong us, so why should man's ignorance & greed become the destruction of their ecosystem? That's what I was aiming to represent here, how man becomes monster, as shown by the inky cloud (which was inspired by Hedorah from the Godzilla movies). Cliche? Yeah, kinda. But irrelevant? I don't think so.
And besides, if humans ruin the Earth I'll have nothing left to conquer, so take good care of the planet; it's the only one you can live on (at least, for now).
