Description
This idea comes from my buddy HietoReth , who was helping me brainstorm some while I was looking for a hip new idea to try out. He wanted to see Anelace from the Trails series hugging the Big Jesus in Rio, and while I'm not totally familiar with the character much, being new to the series myself, I gave it a shot anyways, and I think the result came out nice. I liked drawing and coloring the costume, and enjoyed doing the head and practicing til I got the face down, but I think weak point on this one is the landscape, which kinda comes out as a blotty mess in some areas, and the blurring needed to do more. One thing I probably should've considered in hindsight is a faint orange lighting layer probably, for a mid-day, toned look, but something to consider later on, probably. Two more areas I'd like to improve on is body proportion, this gal looking fairly long in the leg-zone, and making the outlines look less pronounced, so they merge into colors more. This piece was made after I discovered a smooth lines option on my drawing program of choice, and it made the shaky-line a heck of a lot less evident, and I really appreciated that a lot.

I think this was a fun one to do, and I appreciate my friend helping me with the idea. Additionally, I got some pointers from an artist I was fond of in the drawing department on this one, so I'm very thankful for that too - assuming you use dA, you know who you are. Going to look back on this one fondly as a symbol of willingness to learn, but other than that, I just hope it's enjoyable as a piece too.
