Description Hey guys! I thought my animation skills were getting really lonely here on dA, so I thought I'd update with my current skills

Here's little Ichigo, being all cute and cuddly If you wait long enough, you'll see him doing something even cuter ^^

Though, I really do wanna try my hand at frame-by-frame, thing is, I can't test my abilities if i have nothing to draw Curse my scumbag brain! I hope I can get at least three good animations done by the end of the summer

Well, hope you like it

Any tips to drawing hair in wind like that?

Draw the head first, and then draw the hair on a different layer.
You make the hair go in the direction of the wind for a bit, and when you have it come back, you should make a few frames with it going in the opposite direction and have it come back.
Like this (where 0 is going back and 1 is the first frame)
1,2,3,3,2,1,0,0 and then it loops back to 1.

So lemme put it into my words, just so you know I get it. I draw my character bald (Hahaha xD) draw the hair on a new layer in it's normal pose, draw the next two frames in a state of being blown around, have the last frame pause, reverse, go forward, and come back to it's original state and loops from there?

Also, when doing frame-by-frame for other movements, like waving or stuff, which method do you like better: creating key points in the movement and filling in the in-betweens from there, or do it all one frame at a time?

Yes.

I personally like doing the key frames and filling in from there.

That's all good then ^^ I'll try it out today

Ahh, that's what I thought was better xD What I find hard about keyframing is in-betweening frames with different perspectives on the character, like if s/he is turning or doing a very dynamic action :/ Doing it 2-dimensionally is pretty easy, but 3-dimensionally, hard! D:

Yeah, I tried someone turning, and I don't think it turned out too great XD
I've only tried one 3-D animation program, Miku Miku Dance, and it seems pretty easy to have someone turn.

If it loops, It's not supposed to.
