Equestria, 1000 years ago, before Luna's banishment, royal lab.
A male unicorn looked at his notes once again. 'All my calculations are correct. If all goes well I should be able to create a brand new life form.' The scientist thought to himself grinning. He had been working on this project for over a year in secret. "Okay, here we go." He said to himself as he plucked a hair from his grayish green mane and placed it with the other components that made up a pony. Among those ingredients was a single blue feather plucked from one of Luna's wings but it was soaked in dried blood. The unicorn grinned to himself as he started the spell. Magic surged into the transmutation circle. Shadowy arms appeared. Everything went white. The unicorn stood before the gateway. Shadowy arms grabbed him again and he was pulled back to his lab. He coughed as his vision refocused. He immediately knew he was missing a few organs but he didn't care. Sitting in the center of the circle where the ingredients had been sat a young foal roughly a little over a year old. The small pony got up and clumsily made it's way over to the scientist who grinned at his success. The small colt has a few black markings on his face, wings, ears, and hooves, he also has a horn and blue coat with a pale green mane and tail. His eyes were the same shade of green as the scientist's. He embraced the young alicorn with a smile. "I think I'll call you Necromancer." The scientist said smiling as his foal cooed in happiness.
