Well, in my opinion every good and bad deed is accounted for at the heavenly gates, and only through Jesus Christ who saved us from sin will we be able to enter into the glory of Heaven. Also I believe that people who reject Jesus's free gift of grace will be taken by Satan and cast into the lake of fire. Through Jesus there is eternal life, and through Satan eternal death. So in the long run, yes it does matter.
Im not trying to scare you into anything, and for all I know you are a christian, but would you like to accept Jesus's free gift? Would you like to have your own personal savior who loves you and cares for you above all others? Jesus will protect you and love you, and all you have to do is acknowledge his importance in your life, and acknowledge that he is your King. If you would like to accept it, and ask the Holy Spirit to live in your heart, here is an easy prayer you can pray to Jesus.
"God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen."
I dont want one persons life I touched, even in the smallest way, to be taken from them by satan, so I pray for you now. I dont claim to know anything about you, but I love you and I care about you.

excuse me, but I was having a conversation. I said nothing insulting or rude at all, except for my first comment, which I apologized for. I have told nothing but the truth. Am I not allowed to express my faith?
What exactly have I said to give Christians a "bad name"? What have I lied about? Why dont you think I should witness to people? Isnt that our responsibilty as christians?
Are you embarrased about being a christian, friend? Are you embarrased about what we believe? Everything Ive said comes straight from Gods Word.

.. Christianity is so.. Demanding.. I hate recieving lectures about 'having faith, or you'll go to hell,' and as rude as this guy was, i feel sorry for him simply for getting this lecture.. I am -technically- catholic, but personally i prefer buddhism.. to better your life.. not because if you don't follow specific instructions and worship, you will go to hell, but because you want to lead a better life.. not sure why i'm going in to this, i don't have anything against the religion, just the people that preach that you'll go to hell unless you find the lord, etc. i wish people would be more open about other things. 'sinners' will get what they deserve, one way or another, but i don't see a reason to tell people they're going to go to hell if they don't ''....'' mkay. /rant.

Christianity is not about following rules and being perfect. It is about acknowledging that we are imperfect, and therefore need the help of Jesus, the final sacrifice, to live eternally with God after death. Hell isnt a punishment from God, but it is from the Devil and the unavoidable fate of any person, and Jesus saves us from this fate.
Catholicism is alot different from what basic Christianity is. They confuse things very much by making all these rules and regulations neccessary. Jesus tells us that the most important rules we must follow are to "love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." and to "love thy neighbour as thyself."
The rules and instructions have nothing to do with it. You could be the perfect example of a christian, and still not be one. The only way to get into heaven is by acknowledging that Jesus is your savior from sin, and loving him truly. Striving to live your life with love, and being truly sorry for any sin is just a part of christianity. Sinning is part of life and unavoidable, and christianity doesnt ask for perfection.
Living by the rules and regulations of "The Church" is not what saves you from Hell. Jesus does.

Well, that personally, is not my opinion, and I know I will not "go to Hell" for having a different opinion, whether someone tells me that or not.
I wish people could learn to accept the fact that everyone has different opinions, and beliefs.
There is no "right" way.
