Description
Inspired by: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNprQY…Everyone was passed out and sound asleep so it left a sleepy Milk Cookie to tend to the fire pit. He lets out a yawn before finally snuffing the flames out. He gets up to get to the blanket that Purple Yam Cookie set out for him. Milk was surprised to see it out but was too tired to really qualm on it. Milk covered himself, ready for a good nights' rest but something caught his eye. Another cookie. They were wearing a pale blue dress that got to their ankles, had rather pale dough, and milk white hair that was tied up in a low hanging ponytail that reached midway down their back. This caused the cleric to snap awake. It was as if the cookie was familiar to him. Before Milk could get a good look at them, the cookie ran through an opening leading to a cave in the mountain. Milk quietly and quickly followed the cookie into the mountain, determined to find out who or what that cookie was.
Mala Sauce Cookie woke up a little, smelling burnt wood. Getting up, she saw the ring of wood that was the holder of their camp fire completely dead. She figured Milk Cookie finally put it out to sleep but looking over to Purple Yam, she found Milk's blanket laying on the ground. Milk was not there anymore. She looked for anyplace that he could have ran off to and spotted the cave entrance and heard something in it. Mala Sauce was tempted to wake Dino-sour and Purple Yam but figured she could handle whatever was in there herself. She grabbed her flail and ran in.
Milk followed the cookie he saw through the cave as it slowly became a tunnel system. As he ran, he noticed many crystals that reflected something that shook him. Instead of his own reflection, the mysterious cookie replaced it. Soon, he stopped running to chase the mystery cookie and was running from the reflections on the walls. Milk soon ended up in a large underground grotto that had bamboo around the grassy plains, walls decorated with the jewels, and a large pond in the center. Milk was terrified but morbid curiosity pulled the cookie towards the reflective pool of water. Looking into the rippling water, he saw......his own reflection. He felt a sigh of relief exit his lungs but something wasn't right. No matter how long he looked into the water, he couldn't believe that what was in the water was himself. His TRUE self. After minutes of looking at the pond, Milk walked away and leaned against the wall. He looked over to a nearby crystal and saw the mystery cookie again where his reflection was meant to be, in the same position as he was with the same expression of exhaustion and confusion. With a long and heavy sigh, he took his hat and cover up off himself. Taking one last look at the reflection, he reached behind his head and grabbed a clip that has on the back of his head. Upon grabbing it, hair fell from the back of his head and formed into a short curled bob. He looked at his reflection again to see the girl fade and finally see his reflection. Seeing this transition had him reflect on his past before the guild, before his rescue by Dark Choco, before he was who he was today.
"A poor family lived on a farm. A farm that struggled to provide for themselves. A family that put others above themselves. The couple had a child. A daughter. A beautiful daughter with dough as white as snow. A daughter that was said to be a pure soul. She worked hard to provide for her family, but felt that she never could. She had saw many travelers come to her town. Many who the town called heroes or warriors of the Cookie Kingdom. They told tales of their travels and the deeds they had done. She wanted to be like that. To help others that need it the most. She tried to become like the heroes, but others had delivered nasty whispers that she would never be recognized as a hero. Not as who she was. The girl had it with the whispers. She gave in and made herself someone else. One that others would recognize as a hero. The girl had erased herself and came back as a new cookie. The one I look at now."
