History:
Gavin has come close to death by wild animals multiple times while he was photographing them, so he's very cautious, and sensitive to sudden noises. Despite this, he trusts animals more than people. At one point in his life, Gadolinium had almost hit him with a car during a failed stunt, and although Grace forgave Gadolinium for it, Gavin refuses to forgive nor forget. Everything is survival-based for him; threats are to be avoided at all costs. He always looks for patterns in other people's behavior in order to prepare for anything they might do. He also loves finding out the mechanics behind unfamiliar objects for the same reason.
Gavin's first impression of you is the one that sticks, especially if it's a negative one, although he will change his impression if he sees you're genuinely making an effort to change. And if he sees someone in need of help, such as with Grace, he will do all he can to assist them.
When he was 17 he found 6-year-old Grace abandoned in the woods, and he raised her ever since. Gavin would do anything to ensure her safety and happiness.
