Description
(i) Height - 3.4m (to head)(ii) Length - 4.2m (to crest)
Pre-Fall Valceans looked much more like their current counterparts than their direct descendants (next post); They lived on the fabled island of Seleth, which inexplicably floated aimlessly several kilometers from the surface of Valce; It was a large island, perhaps as large as any of the British Isles, it had a self-sufficient ecosystem and provided all the necessary resources for its inhabitants, in short, a kind of frozen and floating Eden.
Its inhabitants arrived there when they were much smaller and still flew, but after so much time in paradise their bodies changed.
The average valcean of that golden age weighed as much as a tyrannosaurus and still had good mobility, the back of his body stored large amounts of fat and was so big that it almost touched the ground; But thanks to its four powerful limbs it could stand.
The crest of its head was thus to inhale the air and heat it, in addition, it served as the first natural instrument of the Valceans and their incentive to be peaceful singers; As you can see, under its crest there is another slightly smaller and flatter one with a colorful design, surely it served to differentiate its members or their sexes.
Returning to their legs, I have to clarify that they had small devices that allowed chemoreception because they had to differentiate the resources of their island and be able to search for them.
Its arm-like forelimbs and upper limbs had two finger-like structures accompanied by a muscular extension coming out of each; Such fingers were partially opposable and allowed the manipulation of objects, particularly musical instruments.
Its head is accompanied by a pair of mouth appendages similar to those of spiders, but more muscular and with a greater range of movement, logically they were used to manipulate food and perhaps something else.
Under his arms you can see muscular extensions that were used to carry the young, instruments or something else; That is, basically bags similar to pouches with extra functions.
They developed intelligence and/or wisdom, let's say, out of boredom or chance; Likewise, they only used it to make tools, especially instruments with which they made incredible shows and orchestras that only they could appreciate; Their social structures were very simple, almost nonexistent, their hedonistic lifestyle allowed them to downplay things like that. In any case, although apparently they didn't need his intelligence for much, it was going to serve them for too much.
