Description
The mysterious girl slipped off her sandals revealing her filthy soles which she stretched back out towards where I sat. It looked like she had been walking barefoot all day before she got on the train and to make matters worse she got up from her seat careful to avoid showing me her face and then stood inspecting the train may just above her head. As she did, she dragged her soles back and forth against the dirty train floor before pressing her toes down and revealing how much dirtier her soles were now. I am sure she laughed but couldn't be sure as she had her back to me. When she finally sat down again, and continued to work on her laptop her face remained obscured by the peak of her cap. As she rubbed her feet together spreading the dirt from one sole to the other she chuckled occassionally but never looked up. I was mesmerised by her playfulness but also unsettled by her strange manner.
