As demonstrated by the adorable Betty here, each soul trait has a scale of five stages, the example being the soul trait Dedication. For simplicity, humans and monsters only seperate the most left and the most right traits as different, namely Tenacity(most left) and Dedication(most right), but some humans have souls in between those two traits.The Betty pictured here is my own version of her, namely that she has Tenacity instead of Fear and is a genuinely nice little girl.
It's basically a percentage scale, but only experts on souls like Alphys or Gaster would use these scales as a way to measure and determine the soul trait exactly.
0%(not pictured) - no soul trait for humans(Traitless Soul), basic white soul for monsters(Soul of Hope)
10%(first soul) - basic form of Tenacity, a trait for both humans and monsters.
25% up to 49%(second soul) - stronger form of Tenacity, a trait only for humans and stronger monsters.
50% up 100%(third to fifth soul) - Dedication, a trait only for humans.

Betty: ...?! You can use those as hands?!
Flowey(Skiddo/Gourgeist): Yep. Those are the hands of a Gourgeist. Actually, I have the hairstyle of a Gourgeist. Including the second pair of arms. You can't imagine how practical that is.

When Flowey saw the Letter it said it was directed to the Dreemurrs.
"It's Shad, the Situation with the Ghost Pokemon it's getting out of hand the Explorers Association is calling upon the Veteran Members, I have to go, I'll come back as soon as I can."
The Date of the Letter was from one Week ago.

Flowey's eyes became more sharp. "The letter was written a week ago. What took so long?" He asked somewhat rudely. The Thunderclap Pokemon looked at the letter himself and carefully took it into his giant, yellow-furred hands. "Sounds like both Ghost Pokemon and Shadow Pokemon cause more and more trouble... This ain't good at all." Kasha answered. The human girl beside him began to worry. "W-what could cause this copy to appear?" She asked. "Couldn't be a Zorua or a Zoroark. That's for sure." Flowey responded, his voice filled with confusion.

"He probably Intercepted this Letter to you, shall the Dreemurrs had received it... well wouldn't it be suspicious Shad didn't went at all...?, suffice it to say this Version of the Dreemurrs is less likely to suspect than the ones I know." HT. Shad said as he was checking the sharpness of his bowie knife.
"H-How are the Dreemurrs you know Horror Shad ?" Rain asked, she wasn't sure the answer was going to be a good one though.
HT. Shad gave a disturbingly casual answer "Oh you know, Toriel likes drugging me with Pies, Asriel is a maniac with an Axe, Asier is off the deep end, Chara has a perpetual melting face, Asgore and Miki are dead..."

The blue-eyed cat pokemon blinked, his mouth open, revealing two short fangs. Betty however was startled by the eerily calm answer. Flowey was unphased by it. Having lived with Giratina for some month scared him straight.

Rain however had still enough nerve to muster a last question.
"W-W-What about you...?".
HT. Shad smirked as he casually prepared a finger beam attack and shot himself in the chest leaving a hole... which regenerated at a disturbingly fast pace.

A ghastly aura formed around Flowey as a wave of energy slightly lifted the bang that covered his eye, shortly revealing what he was hiding underneath. "Don't you DARE to tell us that YOU are behind the scare we just suffered through!" He exclaimed, his voice bordering on yelling.

"To put in words, I can regenerate my wounds no matter how bad they're, what better way to show it that doing an example ?." HT. Shad said still with a disturbing smirk on his face(HT. Shad's mask is broken from the lower half, revealing his mouth).

Instinctively, the melanistic Skiddo backed up a bit, but kept an angered expression on his face. Kasha crossed his arms. "We should be doing something instead of sitting around, doing nothing, right?"

"How much of a Good Tracker Are you ?" HT. Shad asked not paying mind to Flowey's anger.

Kasha blinked again. Being a feline Pokemon, he had a good smelling sense, directive hearing, and sensitive eyes. "That's a joke question, isn't it?" Betty looked at the Zeraora in confusion.

"Hey, I dont know how this World works Ok ?" HT. Shad said which was partially true.

Kasha placed his massive paws on the masked human's face. "You can't tell me you don't know how cats work." He retorted with a glint in his eyes.

"I dont know how things work any longer, but hey be grateful I retain some of my sanity there, now put the paws of the mask, really I had it cleaned this morning".

Kasha just grinned and promptly sat back down into the ground.

"We should call your Shad and see if he and the other explorers are managing to win agaisn't the Ghosts, my expectations is that they're in danger but Shad will be likely to survive, That's a common thing regarding us... NOT wanting someone to have the pleasure of ending us"

Betty looked at her guardian. "Can you do that?" She asked curiously. "Not really. I sadly can't use that abilities. That's something a Dedenne should be able to use." The yellow cat pokemon answered.
