A descendant of the Dracardians, an ancient civilisation of powerful mages that coexisted with the dragons.
Until he was 8, Tatsu lived with his familiy in a small coast town named Seeheim and had a happy childhood. But then Seeheim was invaded by a pirate named Kanis Dscheng. He burned down the entire town and killed many of the inhabitants, including Tatsu´s family. Since the dracardians where hiding their powers tatsus parents seemed to be not aware of the fact that they eventually had magical powers and where an easy prey, but this accident caused Tatsus power to to awaken. Unfortunately he still was to weak to strike back the pirates and so he had to flee and saw Seeheim burn in flames. He was found by the investigators of the Lusorian empire, and when he revealed his powers he was handed over to the ABSF (Administrative Bureau for Supernatural Forces), which gave him into the care of the Academy of Arcane Arts. He suffered a post traumatic stress symptom but managed to overcome it and developed his powers. He pretty skilled but sometimes lacks concentration and causes havok on the campus several times. Later he and Kame become roommates and together they travel to Jinja no Hikari in the hope to learn about the dracardians. But at their arrival they realize that the village is invaded by the demon army.
