This is my very first fully-CG work, commissioned to me a few months ago, yet only now have I finally finished it....it's Ashe and Fran, from Final Fantasy XII.

This was, without a doubt, the most difficult commission I've EVER had to do yet. Putting this work together was a nightmare...57 layers of Photoshop hell. It took weeks of slowly painting in new areas, shading over older ones, experimenting with the "bevel and emboss" features, shading older areas AGAIN, and repeatedly combining layers...I honestly don't even remember all the things I did.

I will admit that I really didn't know what I was doing at the time, and had to start over a few times to correct a few careless mistakes. I had never attempted to do anything like this before, and yet, I was compelled to finish walking the path I'd started down on (and boy, do paths in Photoshop get COMPLICATED) and see this work through to the end.

This is the result.

Just to let everyone know, should I ever attempt anything like this again, I will have to charge more than the usual fee next time. But it was a great experience for me, now that I look back on it.
