Well to me it represent a man having an erection (its an automatic reaction when a man sees something....sexy) but the colors at the same time convey a really dark feeling, something that should be feared. Maybe it represent a man who lust for others woman other than its wife, which is baaaaaad...I guess. Thats how i see the picture XP

funny, nobody has said what you did, but that was exactly what i had in my mind. i when i was naming it. i realized that automatic reaction was sort of like automatic erection. the darkness is about fear, i have some issues from the past.

I did sens the fear in this piece.
I think that's the best thing about abstract art, the emotions of the artist are guiding their hands during the making of the masterpiece. Then the viewer can try to guess "What was the artist feeling ?" Its like a challenge for me to guess it.

thanks much! i chose olive oil because i wanted to get the whole paper greasy and brushing it on would be one helluva mess. also, i wanted the paper to be evenly oiled. i just took kitchen spray and spared it every now and then. when it was dry i wiped it with turpentine with a cloth over and over.
