I absolutely adore this. The colours are beautiful, I love the bright hues of the gryphon against the gloomy background - it stands out but doesn't look unnatural. I'm also diggin' the water effects, and the textures are wonderful. Most importantly, the mood is really powerful and emotional, this is such a touching piece - the eyes are so deep and full of sorrow, you can really feel the gryphon's pain :< You did a fantastic job on this :>

The background feels realistic~ the feathers are painted prettily.
The only crit have is that the rain doesn't look like it's really part of the picture. It should splash off the rocks, make ripples in the stream, run down the feathers, etc. Other than that great job!
