HA HA You guys – I TOTALLY lied about making you guys wait until next Friday for this page. Tehe~   What can I say? I had some free time to myself this past weekend and decided to utilize it in order to work on ’Lost & Found’.

OH NOES~!!! ECHO GETS SHOT?!? le gasp

Believe it or not, I’m also about half-way through page 8! SO – THAT is what will (hopefully) be coming on Friday instead (barring that the sour stomach plaguing me doesn’t interfere with my plans.)
I hope the change doesn’t disappoint anyone. ;]

Anyway – come back here (hopefully) this coming Friday to see what happens to Echo!

EDIT - 11.1.2017 - I LIED AGAIN?!?! Page 8 is available above~

ohhh I see I see, do you use models or do you draw each frame?

9 times out of 10 I do use models. But occasionally - (and I'm going to run into this more in future pages) I do have to draw each individual frame.
But I find that by using models - I'm able to get the same result without near the amount of work. And I do want to keep putting out pages in a timely manner rather than make people who are genuinely enjoying this have to wait.

Interesting, I figured you were using a model I was just curious "how"

Well - and I apologize if I start spewing out things you already know - but - thanks to Adobe Illustrator's layers and 'grouping' features - I'm able to keep every individual character as their own separate 'group'. From there - it's just a matter of double clicking on a group to enter a sub-layer that allows me to work on an individual element rather than have to alter the whole image. Plus - 'grouping' lets me keep fewer layers - which helps me keep things organized. Actually, each individual group - the panels of the comic - they are all technically their own layer.
I also happen to have a reference page that I created of each character already made that contains several different poses/postures in flat colors. Each is their own group. From that, it's just picking, editing, placing, and detailing (highlights, shadowing, environment colors etc.) Though - very often, I do end up having to totally draw a character from scratch so that they fit in the panel the way I want them to.
Does any of that at least 'kind of' explain the 'how'?

I think that makes sense, I've never tried it myself but I've seen it how it's done. I'd want to try it someday, although I'm pretty sure I'd just go back to draw the way I normally do.

And ya know~ There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Personally, I LOVE the way you do your art now.   It's so original and unique - and hey - "if it ain't broke - don't fix it~!" ;]

aww man ;u; dude. Thanks man, I meant more because I don't have the patience for models. I'm kind of an old fart like that.

Yeeeaaaah~ But still - what I said can still apply ~(˘▾˘~)
Personally - I think you're a great artist - and the things that you do don't need to change. Using a model or not - your art is still fabulous.
Honestly - your work is WAY BETTER than anything I can do - and that's the truth of it!

I just took the time to create models while I still had the ambition to do it so that in circumstances (like now) when I feel like I'm hitting an artistic wall - I still have something I can use/go off of to work toward finishing a page. Cuz lorsh only knows that I wouldn't want to let down those who are actually enjoying where this 'spur-of-the-moment' project is going~
