Description
(Nominal) Day 40 of "a drawing (or three) a day", day 5 of "favourite films" week, drawing 3: A depiction of the "used gun" scene in the film Lord of War (2005). I consider this my favourite film starring Nicolas Cage. Focus this time was capturing the facial expression and body language of Cage's character Orlov, as I felt they were key to the meaning of the scene and also something I should practice capturing in art. I'm satisfied with what I ended up with for this piece, and while it still looks a bit too brave, I think I'll get there eventually. The daily drawing series are proving to be very great practice.
