Really this holds meaning to me. This isn't just some silly drawing. Recently, I looked through all of my sketchbooks. I realized, wow. These are an open book, they tell the story of my life. Each one shows me memories I retain that I don't normally look back on. I never even thought about this before. I look at a drawing and I remember where I was and what I was doing. It even brings tears to my eyes because with my art I have a way to always remember those who were around me and impacted what I drew. It feels nice to draw this piece now that I hold this view. To be honest, I haven't drawn a meaningful piece of art in quiet some time. Nothing in my gallery, for the most part, means anything to me. The only importance is the memories they hold. I can look back at a drawing and say, "Hey! I drew this the summer that I began my move! It felt so peaceful early in the mornings when I watched the sun rise as I drew! And hey! I took a walk after drawing this one and napped in the rain!" It's just, truly touching that I can remember this stuff. That I can go back in time with the help of everything I've drawn. My art is like a secret time machine.

I also did something different with this piece because I don't normal draw things that aren't transparent. Naturally, everything starts out transparent in SAI until you save it or fill it with the bucket tool. I like this because I got to view my corrective strokes that I made while drawing the initial black part of this. I in turn, decided to clean up those with even MORE corrective strokes. That pink is only some of the movements I made.

Also, I must say. I don't think we realize how some things hold great memories. Whether it's art, or music, or something else! We all have our ways of traveling back in time. We all have a secret time machine somewhere. Just have to open our eyes in order to find it. ;u;

I hope you guys enjoy what I've shared with you today. I think this drawing will be my master time machine. I'll be able to sit here and think of all those drawings I made and every memory there is that they hold, whether I find it to be significant or not.
