Description
This is a Star Wars Chart that I have been working on for awhile now.depicting the Star Wars timeline in it's entirety, using the prior "Galactic Wars" as the focus points.
this chart covers the the events of the 'Knights of the Old Republic' videogame series,
the prequel film trilogy, and original film trilogy. And, by extent, the Legends/Sequel Film Trilogy*
(*I got creative in that last part for artistic reasons.)
for newbies, the BBY and ABE keys at the designated years
refer to "Before the Battle of Yavin" and "After the Battle of Endor"
Okay, let's go..
[THE GREAT WAR]
This is the earliest recorded war of the Star Wars universe.
and, is covered entirely in the Knights of the Old Republic PC Role-Playing Games.
the war was between "The Old Republic", and "The Sith Empire"
and took place at a time where hundreds of Jedi and Sith were alive,
and some rules that was are used to haven't yet been established
(EX: It was common for there to be a family generation of Jedi.
so at this point, Marriage and having children wasn't yet forbidden.)
[THE CLONE WAR]
Covered in the Prequel films, and most 'Clone Wars' media.
the Clone Wars was the war that was "The Beginning of the End" for the Jedi Community.
It was between the Galactic Republic, and the Separatists (or, "Confederacy of Independent Systems.")
and was just as much a "Political" battle, as it was a literal one.
[THE CIVIL WAR]
Covered in the Original film trilogy, this is the MAIN Star Wars 'war'
that fans of the series were first introduced to upon it's debut.
The war was between the Galactic Empire (formerly the Republic), and the Rebel Alliance.
and was a civil war Old Republic loyalist, and "Imperialist" loyal to it's new emperor
(despite the creepy similarities between the old Sith Empire from the prior Great War.)
[THE COLD WAR]
Covered in both the Expanded/Legends universe, and the Sequel film trilogy
the aptly dubbed 'Cold War' is the war between the Galactic Alliance (or, "New Republic",
depending on who you ask) and the New Order (remnants of the Empire.)
It is the "current" war that as of yet hasn't a conclusion.
We'll all have to wait, and find out.

The Clones Wars really got my attention more when it came out and gave us more insight to the Clones and other Jedis

ah, yes. showing a time where there was hundreds of Jedi
(which was refreshing after the original films portrayal Jedi as being few in numbers.)
I still love Captain Rex, the Clone Trooper who bends the rules.
as even since Season One, I knew Rex wouldn't be one of the clones that followed Order 66.
this was based on Rex's personality, and an old novel released prior
that revealed that some clones voluntarily ignored the order on their own, anyway.

ah, yes. 'The Rookies.'
funny thing is that said episode of The Clone Wars was a bit of social commentary.
showing viewers that not ALL soldiers in the army get sent to the front lines.
there are some stationed at checkpoints and bases
who really just stare at a monitor, and decide who goes where.
Anyone who is fresh out of training were the Rishi Outpost clones
(or, as Rex and Cody called them: "Shinies.")
they were all unique clones. but, I liked how 'Fives'
was the first clone to uncover Sidious conspiracy, and learn the true nature of Order 66.
(in the series continuity, Fives actions prompted Rex to look into it himself.
which other reason why he didn't take part in Order 66. as he had his chip removed.)

Actually, if you count the old expanded universe, there have been a lot of great galactic wars long before the great Sith war of around 4000 years before the battle of Yavin. There was the great hyperspace war that took place about 5000 years BBY, and there may've been a few wars between 30,000 and 25,200 BBY that were fought against the Rakatan infinite empire.

Yes, but I had no faction symbols for that.
PLUS, according to a Jedi Scholar at the time.
the Old Republic/Sith Empire war is merely an extension of the Hyperspace War.
so, it counts due to that technicality.
