A memory that remains to be cherished.

I know I have been often making pics with a simple-polygonal background such as this, but I'm not the best to making BG's in the first place. Well, simplicity is a common theme of mine in my drawings, so this shouldn't be a surprise to see the backdrop as so plain.

So, my head has been seriously emptied of any strong-inspiration, but prior to that I was able to bring out this little oddity.
(Plus, I tried to color this with a mouse on my brother's laptop, golly...!!)

But anywho, my short-story seemed a little stretch this time, sorry! I do have a tendency to not only make a lotta teary-moments but also gushy-hugging-moments, I hope you don't mind. I think it's nice if more and more people can learn to get along or just simply make friends, right?

I had actually intended for a bit of a monologue regrading these two. But then, it got too complicated for me on the diction I should use, so I just made a simple picture to sum some things.

Once I found out the R.O.B., or Buddy as I call him for short, returned into Smash 4, I noticed that now he's not the only robot in Smash anymore. This was also very important since in Brawl, according to Subspace Emissary's story, Buddy is the last of his kind. And I'm sure that judging by his motions in-cutscenes, he must have felt devastated and subsequently lonely.
I did, of course, try to show some slight comparison between these two Robo-buddies. Buddy is much more like a typical bot we'd think of, Mega is an android so he's obviously more human-like. Would that mean their capacities to comprehend ideas such as love and affection are different? Maybe after the Subspace Incident, it's been hard for R.O.B. to recall how that feeling.

He did play a part in that Incident, forcefully or not, so there's chance that his trust from the others is rather thin.
Buddy is sad, and just wants to make a friend. But how?
Perhaps he could find solidarity in a fellow robot.

As for the actual picture, they are both hugging, but in a slightly varied fashion.
Rock has his arms wrapped around Buddy's head, eyes closed to demonstrate some sort of emotion. Buddy was intentionally still with his eyes unchanged, simply craning his neck to be hugged. Whether or not he feels something, that's up to you bubbies to decide.

In the meantime, I am not feeling (Shulk!!) much recently to get me to draw a lot. The least I can work with right now are sweet, simple pieces like this just to help me relieve myself some. Otherwise, it's better to wait for more complicated ideas to naturally flow in, no?

Hah, as simple as this was, I really did feel happy putting it together.
Buddy was a challenge, but the idea-- to me at least-- was worth it. Golly, it makes me wanna crop this snug~
