In honor of black history month (today being the last day), i drew the characters of pokemon black and white. these characters are the first African-American, or African-Japanese, or, uh... whatever "people of color" that i ever seen in the games. Brock doesn't count for some reason
in front: trainer Dancer.
second:Gym Leader Lenora
third: the adorable iris, gym leader and travel companion to ash in the black and white anime series.
in back: Marshall, fighting pokemon expert and member of the elite four.

I can only think of a handful of characters in Pokemon that have pulled off the apron, and the fact that two major ones are gym leaders that either could pass for black or ARE black... is AWESOMESAUCE.

Ironically, I'm actually Mexican, though it's still nice to see something other than a bunch of white people. Or would that be Asians/Japanese, since the games ARE made in Japan??
