Finally!
Thy request, dear friend Man, I thought that red coat of Al's was gonna make me mental!
Anyways, been experimenting with a new style now, and a different coloring habit, mixing more colors and paying a bit less attention to shading, seeing it's pretty much f***ed up
. I know, I shouldn't be experimenting on requests, but I felt like I got the hang of it, and kept on going...Al's very rushed up, seeing it took me nearly the entire day coloring the picture, and I had other things on my schedule, like chores |D
It's very late, but I hope you like it.
I'm pretty proud of it myself, but that's just me

BTW Letrasets are colouring pens designed with anime and manga style in mind - a few people I know use them.

This is lovely...I love the relationship Edward and Al have as brothers. The show is magnificent.
2 of the things I would suggest is lowering the eyes a bit, (giving them more forehead) and giving them a bit more neck. Other than that, I love it, especially the shiny hair.

On the rare occasion that I draw, I always have to leave the pic alone for a day halfway through, otherwise I get really paranoid that I'm screwing up...

Yeah, I get ya. Same here, really. Messed up Al's coat a bit because of the same thing.

I actually use a mix of colors. On Ed's hair, it started off with a shade of yellow, then a darker shade of yellow, nearly orange. Al's hair was a tad of a mistake, seeing I used the dark tones first, but the mixing went on like nothing had happened. The shine is drawn using a white color, which is drawn across the blank area in the hair, dragging some of the hair color into it, making it seem more natural. I actually learned that from an american "How to Draw Manga" book
