Great painting and I do endorse most of the comments below about the syle, colours and subjects, but I do have one picky thing to say.
Based on the assumption that the owl is about to land on the warriors hand (position of bird and the hand)
To me it looks like the owl has no feet... Most owls have massive talons and they are generally flared out to land and grasp, and also she must have massively strong fingers if she is expecting the owl to land on them in that delicately posed position.
Love the horses reaction.
Cheers

I love the palette you used here! The blues and purples are so right together. Sometimes a limited palette like this really makes the image pop. Your work is great, I just have to add you to my watch!

love your female figures. Great to see female warriors in fantasy art actually wearing mail and armour rather than getting around in the snow in nothing more than leather underwear (one of my pet peeves). Great art!!!

Hi there, Mr. Hayes. I've been collecting pictures of women in sensible armor, and this picture struck my eyes. Currently I am putting my collection up on a booru, so this is where your image wound up: [link]
I've set the source as being this here page, and tagged it with michael-c-hayes_(artist). But you're the artist, obviously, so if there's anything you'd like me to change (Like your artist tag could, possibly, be neater.), or if you would like the image removed, please, just let me know.
Other pictures that interest me include your image of Joan of Arc, and Sword of the Four Winds, but to comment on those images as well would be redundant. I will be uploading them, though, if you don't mind.

love the fantastic realism! the wet hair and clothing colour choices are so realistic with the terrain and snow, but the style is a bit medieval/fantastic. the girl is pretty but not unbelievably so, and not so thin or overly busty that she looks like her body would inhibit whatever epic lifestyle she leads. Love it! good job!

Can I just say how much I love that you actually *paint*? You and Gerald Brom (my all time favorite artist for YEARS), thrill me to no end that you put paint to canvas when so many are making the switch to digital.
No disrespect meant to digital artists! I just love paint.
