Description This book was crazy to draw...after the Spider-man/Doctor Strange: the Way to Dusty Death book, I wasn't sure I wanted to jump into a pencil & ink monthly, but the chance to revamp a 1970's character was too much fun to miss.I loved the " Herb Trimpe " issues of " Son of Satan "--silly too be sure, but big fun.---on these two pages I tried to just let it rip and bring the character into the 90's.

I always dug that spread, and the series itself. I guess it was lost in the shuffle, but by today's numbers it would be considered a top seller.

I enjoyed the 'Son of Satan' as a kid and loved the darkness and horror of the 90's Hellstorm.
I was actually sad that it stopped. Of course I did get Druid mini-series but it wasn't the same as every book having that hot bastard, Hellstorm!

I loved his long, wild hair look and well formed bod!

damn... i miss those days, you had so much dope work coming out... like some of the covers you did for that little indy publisher Anubis Press those cover's could use a 2007 re-color... or that 6? page female vampire story with no words... that stuff was so amazing and crafted with such care... as is all your work, i'm always stunned how you've never halfstepped... you've set the bar and you never falter after all these years.

after all that, i'm kinda not sure what else to say other then thanks

Of all the comic work you did, your Hellstorm work is probably my favorite. I was always a big fan of the old 70's marvel horror comics, especially "Tomb of Dracula" and "Son of Satan". You were able to take the latter to a whole new level.

And I got so lucky that I was able to pick up all of those 70's comics at 10 cent sales because no one heard of Wesly Snipes yet

Thanks for posting some trully great work.
