This page [link] on the ApophysisPlugin sourceforge site explains what software and how the header file works. Here is the SVN repository, where you can download the required header file and examples [link]

If you need help the best place to get it would be on FracForum. Joel and I hang out there quite a bit

I didn't use the postprocess render option on this. I recently i tried to use it on a different fractal and it didn't show up

The quality was probably about 2000. The size was 9000 x 12000 though
