Description
This guy is a genetically manipulated prize fighter. It started as a research for an uncommon characterdesign. For my personal stuff i prefer this style where the brushstrokes are still visible, rather than getting too realistic. Completely done in painter. This image has been awarded the CG Choice Award forums.cgsociety.org/showthreaβ¦
There is also a tutorial of the artwork on CGTalk: features.cgsociety.org/story_cβ¦

oh snap! The expression on his face is so well captured but my favorite part is really the detail of the blood on his elbow and wife-beater (such an ironic name). Well done!!!

I like that noise or texture, that you apply on your artworks, it gives natural, traditional look to your digital works. Skin is great, contains variety of different hues, greens blues reds, I love that. You've got great sense of colour.

You don't mess with that!
That's awesome, looks like he could knock your teeth out in one hit, and judging by the blood on him, I'd say he already has.

could you explain to me how you add such refined textures to the clothing and skin in all your paintings. It's one of the things I realy struggle with when I do digital paintings.

My one of the most favourite works. For the first time has seen it on a magazine cover 2d artist.

I concur. This style is much more effective and sexy when you can see the brush strokes, yet quite slightly.
