I'm not dead! Though between the move and starting a new, rather physical job I feel like it sometimes. Anyways, here's something I spent way too long on.

Gleaners are minute fey that, as the name suggests, are scavengers. Despite their size they are not related to pixies or house sprites, and are most closely related to fauns and satyrs, their lineage betrayed by their tiny cloven hooves. Gleaners stand about an inch tall with an equally long tail tufted with fur the same colour as their hair. They have generally child-like proportions, somewhat bestial faces, and are covered with a short pelt of fur. They are omnivores and eat whatever they can gather - berries, tubers, mushrooms, small eggs, carrion, and discarded food are all fair game. They are commonly mistaken for mice and other vermin by unensorcelled mortals, so they try to stay out of sight.
