Ryukyo literally translates to Sea Dragon City. This map is intended to be published in some future Kaidan product yet undetermined as an undersea city. This map I was first experimenting with my techniques for simulating depth in water effects. Each major change in depth is achieved with a layer of transparent blue. As the layers of transparent blue stack, the image below loses color value and contrast granting a realistic appearance of depth in water. Because I always create my own map objects to include in my maps, these objects became the foundation for my Undersea Map Object set available at DrivethruRPG.com. I've noticed the complete lack of undersea map objects aside from m own.
